Renewable energies accounted for almost 30% of the electricity consumption in Europe in 2016. By 2030 this share should reach at least 54% for the European Union to be able to meet its 2030 energy targets, according to a JCR report. How can we ensure that energy coming from remote areas and intermittent sources reaches European consumers through a high performing transmission grid?

On behalf of the Best Paths consortium, Greenovate! Europe invites you to the Conference “Renewing the EU electricity grid: the Best Paths towards energy transition”. This is the chance for energy professionals, policy makers, and researchers to discuss how to attain interconnected, efficient and optimised electricity grids, suitable for the integration of more renewables. We will also take a look at investment opportunities and policy options to make the energy transition happen.

Top experts from the energy sector will also introduce the breakthroughs in transmission technologies developed during the last four years within Best Paths, the largest energy research project funded by the European Commission in the last decade.

Join our event to share your views and shape the energy landscape of tomorrow.
