ENTSO-E will be present at the COP24 in Katowice, Poland, on 6 December with two events. In the EU Pavilion, ENTSO-E will present at midday the range of open and sound data the European transmission system operators put at the disposal of all energy transition players.

With its unique system view, ENTSO-E and its member TSOs are indeed able to enrich the debate on Europe’s energy transition by widening the traditional energy policy triangle -sustainability, market, security of supply- to three new dimensions: customer, infrastructure and digital.

For this EU Pavilion event, ENTSO-E is proud to team up with international renewable energy agency, IRENA, that will offer its critical view on how power networks pave the way to a clean energy future.

The key role of power and also gas networks in enabling and sustaining the transformation of Europe’s energy system will be further highlighted in the evening with an event gathering ENTSO-E, ENTSOG and the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI).

Being mandated for the delivery of European Ten-Year Network Development Plans (TYNDPs), the ENTSOs have developed a collaborative process together with stakeholders and specifically with RGI and climate NGOs for the development of a Paris Agreement-compliant scenario. This project will be presented in Katowice in the margins of the COP 24.
