The European transmission system operators for electricity have submitted the implementation frameworks of imbalance netting and replacement reserves to their respective NRAs for approval.
Imbalance netting Framework was submitted by all TSOs, whereas Replacement Reserves Implementation Framework was submitted only by TSOs performing a replacement reserves process. The proposals are part of the implementation of the European guideline on electricity balancing (EBGL); one of the European network codes.
The proposals were also delivered to ACER and the European Commission by ENTSO-E on 18 June. The regulatory authorities are expected to approve the proposals within six months or, if needed, request amendments to be made.
