What are the European network codes and why you should learn more about them?

The third liberalization package introduced network codes to be developed by the European Commission, ACER, and the ENTSOs in order to complete a European internal electricity market and a sustainable electricity system.

These 8 network codes, dealing with market design, system operation and grid connection, will soon be entirely entered into force and being implemented throughout Europe. How the TSOs contribute to this target? What are the main objectives to reach? How much value does it create for the society at large?
