In the framework of the development of TYNDP 2022, ENTSO-E will hold an online workshop on 14 October (10:00-12:00, Brussels time) to collect stakeholders’ views on the proposed improvements to the methodology of the Identification of System Needs study.

The System needs study is carried out by ENTSO-E biannually and forms part of the TYNDP package. The study investigates where improving the electricity flow throughout Europe could bring benefits to Europeans, by reaching decarbonisation targets and keeping security and costs under control. The next System needs study will be released in 2022 as part of the TYNDP 2022 package.

In this technical online workshop, ENTSO-E will describe the proposed methodology and key assumptions. The proposed output and deliverables of the study will also be discussed. Participants’ comments will serve to improve the IoSN methodology in the coming TYNDP 2022 and in view of future editions of the study.

The webinar will take place online on 14 October from 10.00 to 12.00. The detailed agenda will follow soon.
