In this workshop, the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) provide an update on the progress of the long-term flow-based allocation process. The event also debates the long-term flow-based capacity allocation approach in the Core and Nordic Capacity Calculation Regions.

Context:

On 27 January 2022, ACER and ENTSO-E held the 1st public workshop on the flow-based long-term capacity calculation and allocation, in line with the Core and Nordic capacity calculation and allocation methodologies. As a follow up of the event, ENTSO-E published the draft High-Level Market Design document.

The 2nd public workshop on 24 May 2022 will be an opportunity to provide an update on the process and to address further concrete proposals by stakeholders regarding the allocation algorithm and principles.

This public workshop will:

  • update on the long-term flow-based allocation (LTFBA) process and the “High-Level Market Design” document
  • discuss stakeholders proposals and questions
  • seek further stakeholders’ input
