The Clean Energy for all Europeans Package and in particular Regulation (EU) 2019/943 on the internal market for electricity, places resource adequacy in a central position in the European energy policy context. Under this framework, ENTSO-E is working on the European Resource Adequacy Assessment (ERAA) 2022 edition engaging with stakeholders through dedicated workshops and webinars.

On 17 March, stakeholders join the first workshop of ENTSO-E on ERAA 2022 which provided an overview on the key assumptions and scenarios of the study, welcoming stakeholder feedback on its principles and methodological improvements. On May 11, ENTSO-E provided an overview on the outcomes of the public call for evidence on the ERAA 2022 data and described the key methodologies of ERAA 2022 edition (Economic Viability Assessment, Demand-Side Response, Flow-Based Market Coupling) in the first part of the workshop on ‘ERAA 2022 Methodological insights and improvements’.

In this second part of the Methodological insights and improvements workshop, stakeholders will have the opportunity to get better insights on additional key methodologies of ERAA 2022 edition, related in particular to maintenance optimization, reserves modelling and scarcity analysis.

Time & Place: 5 July, 15h00-16h15 CEST, online
