Today, a solar eclipse took place affecting several countries in Europe between 11:00 to 13:30 CEST. TSOs were prepared for this special event. The frequency did not show significant deviations from the target value of 50 Hertz and the PV infeed was back to normal at 13:30 CEST, after the solar eclipse was over. This special event was successfully managed by the European TSOs through adequate preparations in advance and good coordination during the solar eclipse. The next solar eclipse will take place on 8 April 2024.
