Fall Release 2024 - Go Live on 20th October 2024
The team is already working on the next release with Dev ongoing.
The scope includes new ideas, improvements, bug fixes, and security upgrades. Some key features that we like to highlight -
- A single action backup and restore process of important configurations.
- Enhance ECP Metadata Signing with Future-Proof Field Inclusion and Accurate Timestamps.
- Discontinuation of support for Windows Server 2016.
- Introduction of support for Windows Server 2022.
- Phasing out old network configuration syntax: EDX networks using the old syntax must transition to the new syntax before the EDX upgrade.
- Enhanced performance by reducing database query load.
- Update to ECCo SP dependencies.

Spring Release 2024
We are excited to announce the availability of the Spring release 2024, packed with new features, enhancements, bug fixes, technological advancements, and security upgrades. You can now access the release through your usual channels for ECP and EDX. In the ECCo SP Spring Release, you’ll find ECP version 4.14.0 and EDX version 1.14.0. Both versions are offered as complete installations or upgrades.

Heads Up, ECCo SP Users: Artemis May Impact Your Workflow
Artemis will introduce changes to the installation and upgrade process, as well as to the high availability setup. These changes may necessitate environment reconfiguration, resource reallocation, and adjustments in storage capacity.

- Integration of Keycloak with LDAP authentication
- Removal of legacy ECP3 integration modules
- Removal of Windows installers for central components
Alignment of Version Numbers
In this update, we have aligned the version numbers for ECP and EDX to ensure consistency and ease of reference. ECP has skipped one version number and is now updated from 4.12 to 4.14, aligning its minor number with EDX. EDX has been updated from version 1.13 to 1.14
